As a Xen Project Evangelist & Developer Relations specialist at Vates, you will be the primary advocate for the Xen Project, working to build and nurture a community of developers, contributors, and users. You will create awareness, foster engagement, and help others understand the benefits of the Xen Project within the open-source ecosystem. This role combines technical expertise with community-building skills, providing a unique opportunity to drive adoption and support for the Xen Project while working closely with Vates’ teams.

• Promote the Xen Project through speaking engagements, webinars, blog posts, and social media, sharing the value and capabilities of Xen with the broader tech community.
• Engage with developers, contributors, and users to foster a vibrant community, addressing their questions, gathering feedback, and providing technical guidance.
• Work with Vates' development teams to advocate for the needs and interests of the Xen community, influencing product direction and feature development.
• Create and manage developer resources, including tutorials, documentation, and code samples, to facilitate engagement and ease of adoption.
• Organize and participate in community events, such as hackathons, conferences, and meetups, to build connections and drive collaboration within the Xen ecosystem.
• Serve as a liaison between the Xen Project and other open-source communities to establish partnerships and collaborative opportunities.
• Track and report on developer engagement metrics, using insights to refine strategies and strengthen community ties.

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience in open-source projects and developer relations.
• Proven experience with the Xen Project or similar open-source virtualization technologies.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences through speaking and writing.
• Experience in community engagement and developer relations, with a history of building relationships in open-source or developer communities.
• Solid technical background and understanding of virtualization, hypervisors, and cloud infrastructure.
• Passion for open-source advocacy and a commitment to building an engaged and collaborative community.
• Proficiency with social media platforms, content creation, and tools for community management.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive in exploring new opportunities for engagement.
