Missions

As a Customer Success Manager (CSM) at Vates, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients achieve maximum value from the Vates virtualization & management stack (Vates VMS). You will collaborate closely with our customers, guiding them through onboarding, offering ongoing support, and proactively identifying ways to enhance their experience with our open-source solution. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of customer relationships, helping clients transition smoothly to Vates VMS and achieve their business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers post-sale, driving onboarding, product adoption, and continuous engagement with Vates VMS.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address any challenges or questions, helping clients optimize their use of Vates VMS.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Account Manager (TAM) team to provide technical insights and ensure clients receive timely, relevant assistance.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, helping them realize their business objectives through the effective use of Vates VMS.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion by understanding customer needs and aligning them with Vates’ product roadmap and service offerings.
  • Gather client feedback and work with Vates’ product teams to ensure customer needs are factored into future product updates.

Qualifications

  • BS in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a Customer Success, Account Management, or similar client-facing role
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and experience with VMware or Vates VMS is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with CRM tools and customer success platforms is preferred
