Vates Italia joins the SCIPIO program of the Ministry of Defense

As part of the SCIPIO Program (Solution for Complete Information Protection by Infrastructure Openness) of the Italian Ministry of Defense, the project involving VATES concerns the creation of an Open Source virtualization platform for the development of non-mission critical applications pertaining to the Ministry of Defense at the Network Operations Command (COR – Comando Operazioni Rete).
The platform identified is the Virtualization suite "Open Source Vates Virtualization Stack" composed of the Orchestration and Backup layer, Xen Orchestra Premium and the XCP-ng Hypervisor.

Vates Italia entra nel programma SCIPIO del Ministero Della Difesa

Nell’ ambito del Programma SCIPIO (Solution for Complete Information Protection by Infrastructure Openness) del Ministero della Difesa il progetto che coinvolge VATES riguarda la realizzazione di una piattaforma di virtualizzazione Open Source per lo sviluppo di applicazioni non mission critical di pertinenza del Ministero della Difesa presso il Comando Operazioni Rete.
La piattaforma individuata è la suite di Virtualizzazione “Open Source Vates Virtualization Stack” composta dal layer di Orchestrazione e Backup, Xen Orchestra Premium e dall’Hypervisor XCP-ng.
