XOSTOR SR capacity calculator

This calculator helps determine your available storage capacity using a simple formula:

SR Capacity = (Smallest Disk Size × Number of Hosts) ÷ Replication Count

Important considerations:

  • You must have at least 3 hosts to form a XOSTOR cluster.
  • The maximum number of hosts supported in a single cluster is 7.
  • The maximum size of any single Virtual Disk Image (VDI) will always be limited by the smallest disk in your cluster.

This calculator helps you quickly determine the appropriate XOSTOR storage capacity for your virtualization needs.

For example, if you have 3 hosts each with 200 GiB disks and set replication to 2, your total available storage (SR capacity) would be 300 GiB.
