Vates Partners Insight #3 - Building on success

Our Partner Program was highly successful and well-received in 2024. As a
result, we are keeping the same structure and discount levels, with a few
minor adjustments.

MSPs and Resellers: Updated Requirements

The minimum requirement remains two sales, but we’re adjusting the
timeframe from two sales per cycle to two sales per full year within a complete cycle.

A cycle includes the current period from the date of joining until the end of the
year, plus the following full calendar year.
Under this updated structure,
Partners must complete two sales during the full calendar year.

This change ensures a level playing field, giving all Partners equal opportunities, regardless of whether they join at the beginning, middle, or end of the year.

Example: If you joined the Partner Program in May 2024, your current cycle would be May → December 2024 (7 months), plus January → December 2025 (12 months). The two-sale requirement would apply from January → December 2025, with no minimum sales required during the initial, shorter period (May → December 2024).

Discontinuation of Monthly Installments

Although we initially expected monthly installments to be widely adopted by our
Partners, the reality turned out differently, with only 0.8% currently using this option.

As we continue to expand and enhance our tools, maintaining this feature while ensuring compatibility with our complex tiering system, automated deployment, and invoicing processes requires significant development effort. Given the low adoption rate, we’ve decided to discontinue support for automated monthly installments starting in January 2024.

Existing subscriptions will remain valid until their contractual end. Additionally, we recognize that some high-value deals may require monthly installments. For such cases, we are open to creating custom installment plans upon request.

CSP Program Continuity

We believe that our Cloud Service Provider Partner Program is working well, so we will maintain the same structure for 2025 without making any changes.

Legacy Products: Transition to VMS Bundles

As announced in 2023, our Legacy Products (e.g., Xen Orchestra Starter, XCP-ng Standard) have been superseded by streamlined VMS Bundles.

  • VMS Essential: Includes Xen Orchestra Starter and XCP-ng Standard, supporting 1-3 hosts. SLA: Business Day Support, 24-hour response time for critical issues, up to 6 tickets per year.
  • VMS Essential Plus: Includes Xen Orchestra Premium and XCP-ng
    Standard
    , supporting 1-3 hosts. SLA: Business Day Support, 24-hour
    response time for critical issues, unlimited yearly tickets.
  • VMS Pro: Includes Xen Orchestra Enterprise and XCP-ng Standard,
    supporting a minimum of 3 hosts. SLA: Business Day Support, 24-hour
    response time for critical issues, unlimited yearly tickets.
  • VMS Enterprise: Includes Xen Orchestra Premium and XCP-ng Enterprise,
    supporting a minimum of 4 hosts. SLA: 24/7 Support, 1-hour response time
    for critical issues, unlimited yearly tickets.

Transitioning from Legacy to VMS Bundles

To ensure a smooth transition from our Legacy Products to our current VMS Bundles during upcoming renewals, we are committed to supporting our
Partners throughout the process.

For Partners experiencing price increases, we are open to:

  • Discussing incremental price changes, including price-matching your
    current pricing for the first year
  • Offering additional discounts
  • Exploring customized solutions to avoid business disruptions for your customers

We will also organize complimentary webinars and training sessions to help you learn more about transitioning from Legacy Products to our current VMS Bundles.

Our priority is to provide a seamless experience for both you and your customers during this transition.
