In your role as a Virtualization Support & Solutions Specialist, you will be providing important technical support for our virtualization solutions, responding to incoming tickets from our users via our web interface. You will be a crucial link between the problems our customers face and a satisfying solution using our products. While your core job function would be to support our users through our ticket system, your role will expand to include demonstrating our product stack to our users, helping us deliver superior solutions and service. This position is ideally suited for a candidate living in the Pacific Daylight Timezone, as it will be preferable to work during these business hours. Your responsibilities are:

• Responding to and resolving help desk requests
• Providing solutions for users that align with our product stack
• Training users on our platform
• Demonstrating our product stack to users
• Collaborating and communicating with our highly skilled team.

• Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
• Good deduction capacity to solve potentially complex problems
• Ability to work as part of a team

Vates is a French software developer specialized in Open Source and virtualization. Xen Orchestra and XCP-ng are its two main projects. With 2 main product teams, we are covering the whole stack, from the hypervisor (Xen), the virtualization platform (XCP-ng) to management and VM backups (Xen Orchestra). Our current teams are based in multiple countries, with a 100% "remote work enabled" workflow. Every bit of code is available publicly on Github or Gitlab. Our team is doing Open Source as its core, since our entire company is developing every product in a full open fashion: from the code, but also the way we work with the community, helping people to contribute and providing our experience and resources to upstream projects, like Xen.
