Xen Spring Meetup 2026: see you in Grenoble

On April 2-3, the Xen community will gather in Grenoble for the Xen Spring Meetup 2026, a two-day in-person event hosted at Université Grenoble Alpes. Vates is proud to support the event as a Hosting Sponsor, alongside Université Grenoble Alpes and LIG, with Renesas and Honda also supporting the meetup. If you care about Xen beyond the usual surface-level chatter, this is the kind of event where things actually move forward: technical talks, design discussions, and real conversations with the people building, using, and improving the project.

What makes this format valuable is its focus. It brings together developers, users, researchers, and ecosystem partners in the same room, with enough time to go deeper than a standard conference slot ever allows. Grenoble is a particularly good fit for that, with its strong research environment and the university setting helping reinforce the link between academic work and real-world systems development.

Registration is open: if you want to join, the official Xen Spring Meetup 2026 page has the details, ticket information, and schedule.

If you want a feel for the spirit of these meetups, our recap of the Xen Winter Meetup 2025 gives a pretty good picture. The format worked well: talks in the morning, design sessions later, and the kind of in-person collaboration that is still very hard to replace online. That is exactly why we are happy to be part of this next edition.

A quick tip before coming: take a look at the agenda in advance 😄 These events are at their best when people show up ready to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and help move the project forward.

Open source infrastructure is built in code, of course, but also in rooms like this one. The Xen Spring Meetup is exactly about that: bringing the community together to discuss real issues, share real experience, and keep moving the project forward.

We are glad to be part of it, and we hope to see many of you in Grenoble!
